About the Author
Paula Parker has always believed in the quiet magic of words. For over twenty-three years, she guided children on journeys through stories, helping her younger readers discover the joy of books and encouraging older students to find courage as they learned English as a new language. When asked how many languages she spoke, Paula would smile and reply, “Two —English, and the language of kindness.”
Her secret has always been simple: kindness, when sprinkled with love, can open doors, heal hearts, and even solve the trickiest of problems. Now that she is retired, Paula’s own story is filled with adventures of a different kind. She travels the world with her husband, spoils her beloved Pekingese, Arwan, showers her son and daughter with endless love, and treasures every moment as “Gammy” to her grandchildren—her favorite role of all.
